Educational materials distributed to 200 underprivileged children at Narainapur

By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Jan.10: Educational and sports materials have been distributed to underprivileged children at Narainapur checkpoint, which is considered a remote and less developed area of Banke, under the ‘Armed Police Program with Border Residents’ conducted by the Armed Police Force (APF) to consolidate public relations.

Head of Armed Police Force Nepal Nepal Number 30 Headquarters,  Bageshwari Banke, Bimal Dangi of Banke said that educational materials were distributed to 200 children studying in the National Basic School in Ghordaudiya Village, Narainapur Rural Municipality-4 of Banke district, on the Nepal-India border.

He said that discussions, meetings, interactions and other activities were held with locals living at the Nepal-India border under the ‘Armed Police Program with border residents’, has further consolidated the relationship between locals and police and added that educational and sports materials have been distributed under the same.

Previously, APF held a free health camp near the Khadaicha checkpoint of Duduwa Rural Municipality and treated and distributed medicines to around 300 locals.

DSP of APF  Gajendra Chand said that Chairperson of Narainapur Rural Municipality Ishtiaq Ahmad Shah, Armed Police Superintendent Bimal Dangi, Wardchair-4 Manoj Sharma and the school principal distributed educational and sports materials to the children at a program organized at Narainapur-4 Ghordaudia village on Thursday,

He said that copies, pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners, as well as sports equipment, volleyball, football, and badminton, were handed over to 200 people. 

Speaking at the program Chairperson of the Rural Municipality Shah said that the ‘Armed Police Program with Border Residents’ conducted by the Armed Police has been very useful, relevant and essential for the protection of the border.

Shah said that such programs would strengthen the relationship between Nepali living near the border and the security personnel and help to prevent various illegal activities.
